By now, you should have received your Vote By Mail ballot as every registered voter in California will receive one for the November 3 general election.
There are races important to the future of the City of Lynwood.
The City of Lynwood has placed Measure LH on the November 3rd ballot as a tax on for-profit hospitals. Revenues generated from the tax will be deposited in the general fund and could be expended for existing and expanded city services and programs provided by city. In addition, funds could help offset the costs the city has endured due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
What Will Measure LH funds be used for?
Funds generated will be deposited in the General Fund. General Funds may be used for any municipal purpose, which may include helping residents recover from the impacts COVID-19, developing affordable housing, and maintaining and enhancing vital public safety, infrastructure improvement projects along with parks and recreation services and programs.
With your ballot in hand, you can avoid the election day crowds and vote now. Lynwood has two ballot drop box locations, where you can safely return your completed ballots (no postage necessary):
– Rose Park (Flower St. and State St.)
– Lynwood Library (11320 Bullis Rd.)
