The city of Lynwood is continuing to expand its street and sidewalk repair this fall.
This Saturday (October 6) the Public Works Department will hold another groundbreaking ceremony at 10 a.m. at Virginia Avenue and Bullis Road.
This project will remove sidewalks and replace them as well as improve curbs and gutters and asphalt to improve the look and feel of the neighborhood.
The project, which is being funded by Measure R Funds and Water Funds, is expected to be completed by the end of 2018.
“Lynwood residents have told us that repairing the streets is a priority and the city is working hard to meet that challenge,” said Mayor Jose Solache.
The project will be on Virginia Ave from Bullis Road to Thorson Avenue and on Olanda Street from Gibson Avenue to Carlin Avenue.
We hope to see you at the groundbreaking at 10 am Saturday.
