The City of Lynwood wants residents to celebrate the Fourth of July safely. This year, the fine for discharging, possessing and/or selling illegal fireworks is $5,000 per violation.
Imagine what you can do with $5,000. You can:
– Pay four months rent in an average Lynwood apartment,
– Buy 27 tickets to the Pepe Aguilar concert at the Staples Arena (enough for the entire neighborhood),
– Buy 1,700 cups of coffee at Starbucks or Tierra Mia (enough for each student at Firebaugh High School), or
– Fly Business Class to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Don’t waste $5,000 on illegal fireworks this year.
You can take the “Take the Pledge” for safe and sane fireworks. Report illegal fireworks immediately by using the GOREQUEST App (available through the Apple and Android stores).
