Don’t Risk it!
The City of Lynwood is going “zero tolerance” regarding illegal fireworks! The Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Dept. has a fireworks task force on the streets looking for any illegal fireworks. Fines are very stiff – $1,000 for each infraction – so if you’re caught with illegal fireworks and lighting them up, the fines can reach $2,000. Injuries connected to fireworks have been increasing every year for the past ten years in California so Lynwood City officials are asking for resident’s support to keep Lynwood safe.
Residents can download the City’s “GoRequest” app and use it report any illegal use or sale of fireworks. They can also call:
Parking Enforcement Division at (310) 603-0220 Ext. 271
Code Enforcement Division at (310) 886-0450
Century Sherriff’s Station at (323) 568-4800
Let’s make this a fun but safe Fourth!
