City of Lynwood To Close Its Parks
In the wake of increased cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) being reported in Lynwood, the city has decided to totally close its parks effective immediately.
Previously the city had shut down access to equipment in the park—playground and exercise equipment–because the virus lives on metal for days.
City officials decided to go ahead and close down access to other areas of the parks due to the Stay at Home Order.
Park security guards and Public Safety Officers are already notifying the public and residents will see signage indicating the parks are closed by this weekend.
Meanwhile, our residents are encouraged to continue to practice social distance, stay at home, practice hygiene by washing your hands and avoid touching your face.
This is the most serious public health emergency in our lifetimes, and it’s important we practice healthy habits and work together to reduce our exposure to COVID-19.
