Alma Velazquez was honored as Employee of the Quarter at last night’s Lynwood City Council meeting.
A City of Lynwood employee since February of 1989 originally in the Finance Department, Ms. Velazquez was transferred to the Recreation Department to lead its processing of public registrations and financial transactions for classes, youth/adult sports and other special activities and events.
She has led the Department’s Front Desk operations for approximately 20 years and has become known for her friendly and welcoming service to the community. Not only does she lead the processing and recording of all Department ad in-person program registrations, but is also trusted with the daily opening procedures of the Lynwood Community Center – rarely missing a work day or being late.
Congratulations Alma and a big THANK YOU for your service to our community!
