Kimberly Wenceslao of Lynwood’s Firebaugh High School has been accepted into Yale University.
Congratulations to Kimberly who earned a fantastic 4.56 Grade Point Average at Firebaugh.
Lynwood Mayor Jose Solache congratulated Ms. Wenceslao at the City Council meeting on June 19th.
“Kimberly’s achievement is a tribute to her, her family, the Lynwood School District and all of our city,” said Solache. “We are so proud of her achievements. Being accepted into one of the world’s great universities is so exciting.”
Solache, a former Lynwood School Board member, also pointed out that the graduation rates of Firebaugh and Lynwood High School are improving dramatically. 97% of Firebaugh students and 93% of Lynwood High seniors graduated this summer.
“The future of our city is very bright when you consider our graduation rates—which are among the best in the entire state,” he said.
