Have you received your COVID-19 vaccine?
It’s important to get both doses (or one if you get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) to ensure that you, your family and your community are safe from COVID-19.
Currently, 54.7% of Lynwood residents ages 16 and older have received their vaccines. Even better, 93.7% of our seniors are vaccinated. Those numbers are good, but we need every eligible resident over the age of 16 to get vaccinated.
As the County of Los Angeles prepares to increase openings of public spaces and drop mask mandates, we will come in contact with more people. If you are vaccinated, you will be safe from contracting the virus and passing it on to others, especially our vulnerable populations who are not yet eligible or, for some reason, cannot get vaccinated.
Yesterday, the City of Lynwood and St. Francis Medical Center held a large vaccine clinic. We will let you know of other vaccine clinics taking place in the area. In the meantime, you can find a vaccination site at https://myturn.ca.gov/
Please get a vaccine. It is safe, effective and will help us get over this year-long pandemic.
