The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Century Station recently celebrated it’s 25th anniversary with a weekend celebration that included an alumni reunion, a car show and other events for the Century Station family.
Century Station opened at its present location in 1994, replacing two previous stations – Lynwood and Firestone. The anniversary also honored the lives of the 14 Deputies and 1 Lynwood Police officer killed in the line of duty who are memorialized on Century Station’s memorial wall.
The City of Lynwood and Century Station work hand in hand in keeping Lynwood residents safe. Century Station recently completed the Summer Enforcement Team, a program to enhance public safety during the summer months. The deputies are now working with Lynwood schools and near school zones to ensure the safety of students.
Enhanced public safety is funded through MeasurePS funds.
Congratulations Century Station – the City of Lynwood looks forward to another 25 years and beyond!
