Every week, the Lynwood Public Works Department works to keep our City streets and alleys clean. But we need your help by making sure you properly dispose of trash and materials such as used oil and old paint.
Last week, Lynwood crews were called out to pressure wash a sidewalk covered with old paint, remove illegally dumped oil left in alleys and pick-up old refrigerators and furniture dumped on parkways and streets across the City.
Here are some resources to legally and safely dispose of these items:
Drop-off used oil: https://www2.calrecycle.ca.gov/UsedOil/CertifiedCenters/
Drop-off used paint: https://www.paintcare.org/drop-off-locations/#/find-a-drop-off-site?
Refrigerators and large appliance recycling: https://www.sce.com/
Large bulky items: http://lynwood.ca.us/submit-request/
You can help keep Lynwood’s streets and alleys clean, while helping the environment by dropping off items that can be recycled.
