We all know that one day of the week when parking on the street is jammed because it’s garbage collection day. We tolerate it because it’s only one day a week.
The City of Lynwood wants to assure residents that the city’s streets and alleys will be clear the other six days of the week, allowing residents to park on streets and not seeing rows of garbage cans lined along the curb for days.
Make sure you:
– Place garbage containers at the curb AFTER 6:00pm the NIGHT BEFORE the scheduled pick-up day.
– Bring in garbage containers BEFORE 7:00am the MORNING AFTER the scheduled pick-up day.
To make sure our city streets and alleys are clear and available to all residents, the City will enforce the hours that garbage containers can be at the curb. Residents abusing this code will face the following:
– First Offense – $50 fine
– Second Offense (within 12 months of first offense) – $75
– Third and Subsequent Offenses (within 12 months of first offense) – $100
If you want more information on the garbage collection holiday schedule, you can see it here:

Let’s keep Lynwood’s streets and alleys clean and clear for all residents.
