Due the coronavirus-COVID-19 public health emergency, the city of Lynwood is restricting access to city parks.
The open areas of the park like the grassy areas and the walkways will remain open.
We are closing the parking lots to cars and restricting access to outdoor equipment like playground sets and fitness equipment. We all know now that the coronavirus can live on surfaces–especially metal so it’s smart to make those off limits to our families and children.
But we want to make sure that people keep exercising—whether it’s walking, jogging or riding your bike.
Also, if you are doing weight bearing exercises like squats, push-ups, planks or leg lifts, by all means keep doing them.
It’s important not only for your physical well-being but for your mental health to stay active during these times.
As always remember to keep your distance from other people–wash your hands and don’t touch surfaces.
Let’s stay safe!
