The city of Lynwood announced a second major street repair project just this week on Thursday morning.
A groundbreaking at Birch and Spruce Streets attracted city officials who have increased spending on street repair in the current fiscal year.
This project will take about 70 days to complete and work will occur on Birch and Fir Streets and Lugo and Platt Avenues.
Another project starting at Birchwood Street and Atlantic Avenue also began this week. You can read more about it here.
“We are pleased to get this additional project underway that will benefit our residents and those who come to visit and work in Lynwood,” said Sal Mendez, Lynwood Director of Public Works. “Streets will be closed to traffic only in the construction zones as the contractor advances. The streets will be secured to allow traffic flow by the end of the day.”
