Over 260 trees have been planted in Lynwood in the past few weeks.
Thanks to a grant from So Cal Edison and our friends at Tree People, 31 trees have now been planted in city right of ways. The latest planting came last Saturday under the watchful eye of Lynwood’s Public Works Department.
Also, earlier this fall, thanks to a grant from the Max Factor Family Foundation, Tree People selected Lynwood as the home for 225 new fruit trees have been given to Lynwood residents.
Trees do lots of other positive things for all of us including providing food, cleaning the air, providing oxygen, cooling the streets and help prevent water pollution and soil erosion.
“We thank our partners for making this opportunity to beautify our city and improving our environment,” said Lynwood Mayor Jose Solache.
