Jose Ometeotl was appointed Lynwood City Manager at the City Council meeting on Tuesday. Ometeotl had been serving as Acting City Manager for several months. Prior to that, he was the city’s Finance Director and Assistant City Manager.
Raul Alvarez was named Assistant City Manager by the Council. He comes to Lynwood after serving as Senior Advisor and District Director to California Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon. Previously, he served as a Field Deputy for Los Angeles County Supervisor Gloria Molina.
“Bringing stability to the city’s leadership was a priority for the City Council. These appointments notably strengthen our leadership team and will help us reach our goal of delivering better and more efficient services to Lynwood residents,”said Mayor Jose Solache.
