The City of Lynwood’s Public Works Department is starting the New Year making sure our streets and alleys are clean and safe.
This work includes cleaning up the mess left by illegal burnouts that not only damage our roads, but also mark up the newly painted crosswalks. Remember, burnouts are against the law and dangerous to the drivers, spectators, and innocent bystanders.
Public Works crews also extended a courtesy to our neighboring city by repairing nearly 80 potholes that had been the subject of complaints. That’s in addition to the more than 350 repaired potholes in Lynwood.
And, to ensure that our City’s alleys are clean, Public Works crews clear all the alleys on a 10–14-day rotation. Last week, the alleys that were clean included:
Lugo Ave. alley from Bullis Road to Harris Ave.
Walnut Ave. alley from Bullis Road to Harris Ave.
Cortland St. alley from Ernestine Ave. to Harris Ave.
Platt Ave. alley abatement Ernestine Ave. to Harris Ave.
