The City of Lynwood is among a few cities in the county that has a centralized Service Request division designed to handle complaints, concerns and all service requests with accountability and proficiency.
The City’s Service Request division receives hundreds of requests – via telephone and email or in person – on a weekly basis. The service requests are routed directly to the corresponding department for either inspection or resolution. The City’s top 3 requests for service have to do with graffiti, trash in alleys and tree trimmings. While response times might not occur on the same day, unless it’s an emergency, all Requests for Services are followed through as best as possible.
On the City’s website, on the home page, individuals can click on the “Submit Your Request” button or click HERE to make the request. After submitting your request, the system will give individuals a reference number, which helps keep track of the request. The City also has a smart phone application called “GO request” available for Android and Apple devices that helps to streamline Service Requests more efficiently. The app allows residents to simply take a photograph, document and report concerns or requests for services directly from their smart phone to the City’s Service Request Division.
To submit a Request for Service, residents can call (310) 603-0220 Ext. 312, send an email to servicerequest@lynwood.ca.us, or go to the City’s website at http://lynwood.ca.us/submit-request/.
