The Lynwood Public Works Department is kicking off a series of street repairs Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
The Groundbreaking will be held at Carlin and Olanda Streets.
“The project–which is funded by Measure R–will be a sidewalk removal and replacement to improve the look of the neighborhood,” said Salvador Mendez, Director of Public Works for the city.
The curb and gutter will be removed and replaced. In addition, the drainage will be improved, new asphalt will be installed and handicapped ramps will be replaced with truncated domes.
The street work will be on Olanda from Atlantic to Gibson Avenue. The work is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
