The City of Lynwood is challenging its residents to, “Just say no to illegal fireworks“.
You are going to see this message between now and July 4th. We also are creating a Fireworks Task Force that will be out in the city in late June and early July to help enforce the ban.
To underline how seriously we are taking this—the fine for possession, discharge, and sales of illegal fireworks is $1,000.00
We need your help. You can request or download a window card that proclaims you have no illegal fireworks and won’t participate in any use of them!
If you know of areas in your neighborhood where illegal fireworks are being used, please contact the City of Lynwood Parking Enforcement division at (310) 603-0220, Ext. 271 or the City Lynwood Code Enforcement Division at (310) 886-0450 or the Century Sheriff’s Station at (323) 568-4800 for assistance. You can also use the Go Request App for your mobile device from the android or apple app store.
Let’s keep Lynwood safe this summer.
