Join us this Saturday morning at Burke-Ham Park for some tips on how to take care of trees on your property.
We have hundreds of young trees that have been planted in Lynwood in the past several months thanks to a program sponsored by TreePeople. During this drought, it is important that all trees, but especially the young ones, are taken care of.
The Metropolitan Water District and Tree People are sponsoring the workshop this Saturday which starts at 8 am and lasts until 1 p.m.
“Trees are important. Not only are they beautiful, but they also provide oxygen, improve air quality, and conserve water, ” said Lynwood City Councilmember Oscar Flores. “We thank TreePeople and the Metropolitan Water District for helping us make sure that we keep our trees healthy and productive in Lynwood.”
Lunch and Snacks will be provided.
If you want to join us, you can register by visiting www.treepeople.org/volunteer or you can just show up Saturday morning.
We hope to see you there!
