The City of Lynwood is dedicated to keeping its streets and alleys clean. That means every week, a team from the Public Works Department clears alleys across the City of illegally dumped debris, bulky items and other materials.
Illegally dumped used oil was cleaned at the alley by the 4000 block of Walnut Avenue. Dumping used oil is a hazard to residents and the environment. It is easy to dispose of used oil by taking it to local auto parts retailers to recycle. You can also contact Public Works (310-603-0220, ext. 801) for additional used oil drop off locations.
Last week the Public Works department also cleared the alley by Calin Avenue from Halo Drive to Olanda Street (see photos).
You can do your part by keeping your alleys clear and properly disposing bulky items, tree trimmings and other items.
Let’s all work together to keep Lynwood clean and safe.
