1,000 Free Christmas Trees

What: 1,000 Free Christmas Trees coming to South Los Angeles
Where: 2000 West Slauson Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90047
When: Tuesday, December 11, 2018 10:00 AM
Who: Santa Claus

Christmas comes early in South Los Angeles. An “Urban Forest” of 1,000 Christmas Trees is being delivered to Active Recycling Co. Inc.

Santa Claus will be kicking off the Annual “Free Christmas Tree for Trash” giveaway this year.

As in the past, individuals can receive a free Christmas Tree when they bring in trash to Active Recycling and yes, dump it for free!

There is no minimum for the amount of trash to be dumped. There is a 500-pound maximum on the amount of trash to be dumped for free.

Individuals can also bring in Recyclables such as scrap iron, copper, brass, aluminum, newspaper and cardboard and receive top dollar for them and also receive a Free Christmas Tree.

One free Christmas Tree per customer/vehicle and when they are gone, that will be all until next year.

The Free Christmas Tree program began four years ago with Mr. Segal purchasing a single tree for a customer who could not afford a tree that year. The program expanded to 100 trees in 2015, 200 trees 2016 and 400 trees were given away by Active Recycling Co. Inc. for free in 2017.

In spite of the cost of Christmas Trees being on the rise, Active Recycling Co. Inc has increased the number of Trees to be given away to 1,000.

The members of our community need support more than ever and the removal of trash from our community is greater than ever.

Illegal trash dumping in our communities has been an ongoing blight. Providing solutions for the community to address the problem has been an ongoing effort for Active Recycling Co. Inc.

The Clean Up Los Angeles City / County Campaign has to date resulted in over 5 million pounds of trash being accepted at Active Recycling Co. Inc. for Free.
