Lynwood’s public works crews removed and replaced 60 feet of sidewalk last week on Washington Ave. The portions of the sidewalk were lifted, making them uneven. The new sidewalks are flat and safe.
Thanks to our public works crews for making our sidewalks safer for our residents.
This work was in addition to all the other tasks they performed last week, including (small sample):
- Servicing more than 64 locations for weed abatements and individual pick-ups of abandoned items,
- Clearing 135,200 square feet from a total of 9 alleys (all alleys citywide on a 10-to-14-day rotational schedule by area for service consistency),
- Removing more than 2,300 square feet of graffiti from City parks, and
- Removing more than 58 illegal business concert signs from the main city boulevards.
Thank you to your Lynwood Public Works crews for all they do to keep our City clean and safe!
