In the City of Lynwood a day set aside from everyone’s busy schedules to come together to celebrate Children and Persons with Special Needs. The annual celebration this year takes place on Sunday, February 24, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bateman Hall in Lynwood. This event brings together hundreds of Children and Persons with Special Needs and their families for a day dedicated especially to them.
Featuring guest speakers, brunch, entertainment, giveaways and lots of family-friendly fun, the City of Lynwood’s Special Needs Celebration pays tribute to Children and Persons with Special Needs from both the City of Lynwood and the Lynwood Unified School District.
The Lynwood City Council is doing a better job of being more inclusive of what the needs of the Special Needs Community are, and help these families as much as possible. Through this event the City of Lynwood wants to recognize these Children and Persons with Special Needs and their families for their fortitude and show them that they are loved and appreciated and that they are not alone.
