In its 100 years, the City of Lynwood has welcomed many important visitors.
As part of Black History Month, we look back at a visit from civil rights icon Rosa Parks. In 1994, Ms. Parks was celebrated by Lynwood students who commemorated her historic protest that helped inspire the Montgomery bus boycott.
Thank you to Ms. Parks, known in the United States Congress as the “first lady of civil rights,” for being part of Lynwood’s history.
