The Los Angeles County Public Health Department now reports 5277 confirmed coronavirus cases in the county (711 more cases than yesterday). Lynwood has 28 confirmed cases, five more than reported yesterday.
The Health Department reports the numbers daily, which you can find here: http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/Coronavirus/
To keep safe, Governor Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and the Lynwood City Council urge residents to stay at home and only leave to get essential items, practice safe social distancing and check on elderly relatives and neighbors to make sure they are safe.
The City of Lynwood was aggressive early in March in cancelling events, closing city parks and making sure that only essential businesses continue to operate.
Small changes in personal behavior can slow the outbreak, prevent hospitals from becoming overwhelmed and reduce cases. We continue to urge you to practice social distance, wash your hands, keep your hands from your face and keep yourselves and your family safe.
We can do this!
