The Los Angeles County Public Health Department now reports over 3,000 coronavirus cases in the county. Lynwood has 18 confirmed cases, two more than reported on Monday.
The Health Department reports the numbers daily, which you can find here.
California Governor Newsom who has been holding a daily news conference every day at noon, reminded all of us on Tuesday that practicing safe social distance is helping keeping the number of coronavirus cases lower than some other states, and that it is important to continue the practice.
The city of Lynwood was aggressive early in March in cancelling events, closing city parks and making sure that only essential businesses continue to operate.
Small changes in personal behavior can slow the outbreak, prevent hospitals from becoming overwhelmed and reduce cases. We continue to urge you to practice social distance, wash your hands, keep your hands from your face and keep yourselves and your family safe.
We can do this!
