July is Parks Make Life Better Month!
National Park and Recreation Month is a time to promote the benefits of healthy, vibrant communities. It is a time to recognize the importance of parks and recreation in establishing and maintaining quality of life and in contributing to the physical, economic, and environmental well-being of communities. Parks and Recreation are vitally important to establishing and maintaining the quality of life in the City of Lynwood, contributing to the health of its citizens. It strengthens community identity by providing facilities and services that celebrate community character, heritage, culture, and history. Parks and Recreation creates memorable experiences through engaging programs, dynamic events and new opportunities that get people involved in their communities.
This year’s theme for Park and Recreation Month is Parks Make Life Better! So, start lacing up your fun shoes and get ready to get in the game this July. We want to celebrate everything that makes our Recreation and Community Service Department fun, joyful and full of excitement! Be sure to stay up-to-date on all the program that will be providing!
