It’s the first day of July – and we’re counting down to the Lynwood Centennial celebration on July 16. It was 100 years ago on that day that our beloved Lynwood was officially incorporated.
To celebrate this momentous milestone, we have some wonderful events you can attend in person or virtually.
MIDNIGHT BIRTHDAY COUNTDOWN
A midnight mariachi serenade will ring in Lynwood’s 100th Birthday. Join our city councilmembers as they celebrate the Lynwood Centennial. There will be giveaways for those who attend (while supplies last).
When: Thursday, July 15 at 11:45pm to Friday, July 16 at 12:15am.
Where: Lynwood City Hall Front Lawn

TIME CAPSULE CEREMONY
As a gift to future Lynwood residents, a time capsule will be buried to commemorate the City’s first 100 years. Come join us for a fun evening of entertainment, a celebration of our beloved City and a special surprise! We’ll also have giveaways for those in attendance (while supplies last).
When: Friday, July 16
Times: 5-7pm – Live Entertainment
7-8pm – Time Capsule Ceremony
Sunday – Surprise Finale
