Is July 3rd on your calendar?
That’s when the City of Lynwood will celebrate the holiday with a festival and laser light show.
The laser light show is a new component as our fireworks vendor of several years recently lost its license to produce shows – therefore, no official fireworks show this year.
The California State Fire Marshall raided fireworks vendor ExpoShows warehouse, located in Mojave, on Saturday, June 25. Cal Fire will be holding a press conference on Friday where more information will be made available regarding the raid.
Lynwood was one of several Los Angeles and San Diego area cities and locations that had to scramble to find a replacement for the annual celebration.
Additionally, the Lynwood celebration was moved a day ahead of the holiday to allow families to celebrate with the City on July 3rd, then celebrate with their loved ones on July 4th (something many families have requested). It’s a win-win for everyone!
See you on July 3rd!
