Last week, Lynwood Public Works crews cleared seven alleys for a total of 142,500 square feet of bulky items, trash and debris. This is part of a regular schedule to clean alleys for servicing on a regular 10-to-14-day rotation (there may be exceptions for emergencies).
This is one way the City of Lynwood is working to keep alleys clean from debris and illegally dumped items. The other way is to invoice households that dump illegally the costs of clean-up (three households were invoiced last week).
It is a team effort to keep our city clean. You can do your part by properly disposing of unwanted items through recycling, donations to local thrift and charity shops and visits to landfills (the charge will be less than an invoice for illegally dumping).
Let’s work together to keep Lynwood clean and safe!
