Marco Antonio Firebaugh (1966 –2006) was a Democratic member of the California State Assembly from 1998 to 2004.
Born in Tijuana, Mexico, Firebaugh received a B.A. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a law degree from University of California, Los Angeles.
In his final term in the Assembly, Firebaugh served concurrently as Assembly Majority Leader and Chairman of the California Latino Legislative Caucus. He was a resident of South Gate.
Marco Antonio Firebaugh spoke and presided during the school opening ceremonies in 2005.
Firebaugh had been seeking the Democratic nomination for the California State Senate’s 30th District when he died due to complications from a liver ailment diagnosed in 2003.
