Who went to Hosler Middle School? Did you know when it was built in 1936, it was originally named Central Elementary School and part of the Compton Union School District?
When the Lynwood Unified School District was created in 1950, it became the first junior high school in Lynwood and originally named Century Junior High School.
Dr. Fred Hosler was the District’s first Superintendent. An Oklahoma native, he was hard working and known to keep unbelievable hours. Sadly, he passed away in 1952. In his honor, the school was renamed Hosler Junior High School and is now Hosler Middle School.
