Maintenance crews descended on the City of Lynwood parks this week to trim grass, cut weeds and clean the public areas. Crews are working at Burke-Ham Park, Ricardo Lara Linear Park and Lynwood City Park.
The April rainstorms coupled with the limited availability of Public Works crews, many of whom were quarantined last month, led to overgrown grass and weeds in some park areas.
“Even though our parks are still closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to work with our Public Works team in our commitment to keeping community parks clean and well-maintained,” said Mark Flores, Director of Lynwood’s Recreation & Community Services Department.
The City of Lynwood thanks you for your patience during this time.
