As most of our community is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is one service that is going strong and providing a vital lifeline to our residents – the City of Lynwood Grab n’ Go Youth Meals Program.
The Youth Meals Program distributes about 500 meals every weekday to Lynwood children, which is vital with schools closed and other services curtailed. The Grab n’ Go concept makes it convenient and safe for families to access the meals.
Run by the City of Lynwood Recreation and Community Services Department, the program is also the anchor to some of the City’s “Safer At Home” programs and events, such as the Virtual Easter Celebration, Mother’s Day and future events.
Any child (17 and under) is eligible to receive the daily meal and no identification is necessary.
