It was another busy week for Lynwood Public Works crews!
Last week, crews repaired damaged sidewalks on Los Flores Blvd (10 ft) and Sanborn Ave. (38 ft), which made walking in those areas safer for residents.
This work was addition to the regular duties crews perform each week. Here is a small sample:
- Clearing illegally dumped items and debris from 94 miles of alleys throughout the City (all alleys are on a regular rotation to be cleaned),
- Repairing potholes citywide,
- Removing 679 square feet of graffiti from our City parks,
- Picking up illegally dumped items that included 50 gallon bags of food, all types of furniture, car parts and appliances. Please visit the City of Lynwood’s Environmental Page to see how you can recycle and keep our City clean: http://lynwood.ca.us/public-works/lynwood-environmental-page/
Additionally, six separate locations were billed for illegally dumping. Reminder, if you are caught dumping items, you will be billed for staff time and the cost of equipment and fees.
Let’s work together to keep the City of Lynwood clean and safe!
