It was another busy week for Lynwood Public Works crews.
They were called to the scene for street repairs after water main breaks at two different locations – one on Penn Street and the other on Long Beach Blvd.
Crews also cleaned more than 93,000 square feet of alleys including Walnut, Lugo, Cortland, Brewster, Abbot and Carlin/Palm.
Crews also removed debris and bulky items from 42 locations. Items left on our City’s streets and alleys include furniture, major appliances, construction waste, car tires and buckets of paint and oil.
Reminder – you can dispose of these materials safely, please see the City of Lynwood’s environmental page for resources: http://lynwood.ca.us/public-works/lynwood-environmental-page/
Citywide, crews performed weed abatement and weed preventative measures at 103,688 square feet of City lots, alleys and parkways.
Each week, the City of Lynwood Public Works Department is working hard to keep your City clean and safe!
