A 20-year employee of the Lynwood Recreation and Community Service Department has been named the City’s Employee of the Quarter. She was honored at the recent City Council meeting.
Diana Romero was described a model employee that sets the tone for rest of the department’s managers.
“She is a well-known for her high energy and friendly customer service. Her success is directly related to the daily positive feedback received from staff and residents alike.” “As a mother of five, which includes triplets, she is an hard worker and dedicated to providing superior service”, says Mark Flores, Director of the Recreation and Community Services Department.
“Like many of our employees, Diana is from Lynwood started as a part time employee and has become a valued contributor for two decades”, says Mayor José Luis Solache.
She expertly operates and is responsible for the City’s After School Program, Summer Day Camp, the Avalos Community Center, Burke-Ham Park and the Lynwood Youth Center.
In addition to managing and operating multiple facilities throughout the City she also produces the popular Easter and the Halloween programs. Diana has the largest divisional staff unit in the Recreation Department.
Diana is true brand ambassador who takes pride in her work and is worthy of this recognition.
