Welcome back to school Lynwood students!
As teachers and administrators were preparing for the new school year, City of Lynwood’s Public Works crews were also getting ready for the first day of school.
Lynwood City Councilmember José Luis Solache mentioned the beginning of school at the City Council member on Tuesday night. He reminded all that the City’s Public Works crews help repaint crosswalks and improve traffic flow around the schools.
“I was a School Board member for ten years,” he said. “The beginning of the school year is an important day for many families in our community and the City workers are always happy to help prepare our streets and curbs for our schools.”
City Councilmember Rita Soto is starting her fourth year as Assistant Principal at Roosevelt Elementary School in the Lynwood Unified School District.
“We are welcoming 15,000 students back to school this week. I’m proud that the city staff could help prepare our communities so that our students and their families have a safe and happy return to school.”
We hope you have a great and safe school year!
