DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

The Recreation and Community Services Department manages nine park  facilities on 45-acres, and a wide variety of recreational programs. These programs include soccer, baseball, basketball, softball, cultural events, outdoor movies, senior trips, tiny tot classes, day camp, specialty classes and special events throughout the year. Our recreational facilities include an indoor Olympic-size pool, Bateman Hall rental facility, sports complex fully equipped with an indoor gymnasium, outdoor tennis court, indoor racquetball court, outdoor skate park and basketball court, two playground areas, five pocket parks, three community centers, with another ready to open soon.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Recreation and Community Services Department serves the community through diverse and innovative programming and partnerships, leading to a safe and healthy community. By providing space to learn and play, space to be safe and secure, and space to create and imagine, the Department meets an important need – the creation of community through people, parks and programs!
